Being your only Friend

I feel that Kay's medication is her only friend. Yes, she has support from co-workers that are by her-side.
Inside she truly knows that her medication is her truly friend the one that will get her through life or the
one that will destroy her.

I agree with what you said about it being her only friend. In the book she recalled being completely dependent on the medication. Even though she knew that the medication she was taking was not good for her, she kept taking it anyway because she depended on it to keep her sane.
