Hanging On

Kay's strength showed throughout the book and it never failed. She was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and get past the road blocks in her life. Being able to succeed in life, going to school and starting a career, shows the great amount of strength she had. I didn't think once at all while reading this book that Kay was a weak link. She proved how headstrong she was.

I agree! I think many times when people have mental illness' they see it as a huge weakness, but I think Kay just saw it as a road block she'd have to get through. I found it so motivational that she was able to succeed in all that she wanted to accomplish despite all that she went through. After reading the book I can't imagine what it would be like to personally deal with bipolar disorder but I do know that you can do whatever you set your mind to,
