Kay's Medication

While Kay suffers a bad illness, she depends on her medication to keep her calm and not let her life be destroyed. Although the medication wasn't the best for her to take, the medication was the only thing that helped her live her life the best it could be.

I agree with your post. Kay had to depend on her medication to keep her in check with reality. Even though the side effects were extreme and an overdose could be toxic, the medication was the only way she could survive and live a close to normal life.
